"Spotted Pony from Behind" - Available

Description: I was very grateful to be able to use the photo of this little guy for my painting. I have so long admired POAs and I just think they're down right adorable, who's idea was it to combine spots and cute little smaller sized horses into one? I'm not sure the guy's name but he rocks, I know his horses name was Black Hand though. Anyway this is a huge tangent. my dream would be to breed POAs (Pony Of the Americas) I feel like it combines all my passions, art, animals, babies, outdoors, etc. But for now I have to settle with creating ponies on my watercolor paper. Which, by the way, I realized I'm using my cheap paper for this and probably my next 7 paintings. I ended up using my acrylic paints on my nice paper, who does that? So I had some road blocks with this guy, I think I hid them well though.

All and all I'm really pretty happy with it though, it didn't flow out like I had hopped it would but I compared it to Ultimate Bounce and I felt like it held up (which is saying a lot because I think Ultimate Bounce, or "Spotted Pony" is my best paining I've ever done). Obviously I ran into road blocks, like I said. I had some measurement troubles with what I had laid out in pencil, but I tried my best to fix them and I at leaf got away with it. Not sure about that signature placement either.

So the ironic thing about this is when I was nearing completion I thought, "hm well it's nowhere near "Spotted Pony" quality, I'd probably only list it at $70 dollars tops" then I compared them and was rather surprised. I hope this means my standard had risen. I also hope it means I'm about to start busting out some great paintings. But that's pretty unlikely at this point in my life, maybe later on!All Horses in life deserve at least once to be loved by a little girl. -Anonymous
