"Arizona" - Available

Description:

This is my tribute to arizona. I plan on getting really good at painting clouds so I can actually effectively  paint one of our fabulous sunsets.

The only demo on clouds that's ever been helpful to me was when I was in school. My teacher, Sally Cannon Ellis, did this lovely painting in class and we were privileged to see her methods. I feel like most online tutorials (which all seem to be videos) are either painted with total water/soft edges or dry/hard edges, of course they vary this through either blotting or blending and most of the studies turn out good, but I find that usually mixing the two techniques  always gives a much more realistic result.

 Someday I'll figure it out and be a super good cloud/sunset painter. But alas, for the time being it is SO hard to paint clouds the way I want them to be. It's such a pity because clouds are such lovely things.
