"Trumpet" - Available

Ok well Blogspot and I are not going to get along today I guess, so we'll go with this design today. These are just studies of mine from last class period. I had some fun with the Trumpet Flowers because they were in black and white. I got to pick whatever color I wanted and just try matching values. I also wanted to work with dragging down the pigment to make an image, the horses are mostly done in this method,  I also went  back and put in detail when they were dry. The dog was done in mostly the same manor the smaller one however I dropped pigment around the wet eyes to get the bleed. I really liked the right eye of the dog because it was wet when I laid in the brown and it just stayed there, I loved how it worked with the black, they melted together very smooth, not sure what brown it was though! The man and the dog is one I've been dying to paint, I would like to try this one bigger.We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit. -Aristotle
